A Magical 4-Day Wedding Celebration on the Amalfi Coast

We recently had the honor of planning an unforgettable four-day wedding event for American-Lebanese Lena Saleh and Italian-English Alberto Scipione on the stunning Amalfi Coast. Here’s a glimpse into the magical moments we created for the lovely international crowd.

Day 1: Sunset Dinner at La Cocumella Hotel, Sorrento –  June 10th
La Dolce Vita Welcome Dinner
The celebration began with a breathtaking sunset dinner at La Cocumella, with a live Italian band and Aperol Spritz to welcome guests. The venue was beautifully decorated with fruit compositions, famous Sorrento lemons and floral centerpieces, adding a vibrant and fresh touch to the evening. As the sun set, guests enjoyed a delicious meal and soaked in the magical sea views, kicking off the festivities in Dolce Vita style.

Day 2: Fun in Capri at Bagni Tiberio, Capri – June 11th
Capri Day
On the second day, the happy couple and their guests were treated to an exciting boat tour around Capri. They enjoyed the island’s beauty from the water then explored the bustling streets of Capri by foot, taking in the sights of the Faraglioni rocks from the viewpoint of St. Augustus garden. The highlight was lunch at Bagni Tiberio beach restaurant for an authentic lunch homemade by the family owner and music by DJ Jana where guests enjoyed dancing and laughing together, creating a memorable last day for all the guests ahead of the wedding.

Day 3: The Wedding Day in Villa Angelina, Sorrento – June 12th
The theme “Heaven on Earth” came simply to Lena as she remembered visiting Capri as a young girl, she recalled seeing a wedding held in the main piazza and thinking how heavenly it felt being on the beautiful island of Capri and looking out to see the sky meet the sea.

She thought to herself that one day she would like to have a similar experience for her own wedding, not knowing that fate would bring her to meet Alberto many years later and she would have her own Italian Amalfi wedding would come true.

The expression of the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water were chosen to express the theme “Heaven on Earth” through the table decor, flowers and entertainment.

Living the four elements of nature: air, fire, earth and water
The third day marked the pinnacle of the celebration – the wedding day. The ceremony was held in a beautiful church in Positano, a picturesque town known for its charming streets and stunning views. The bride and groom exchanged vows in a heartfelt Italian English ceremony, surrounded by all their loved ones.

The festivities continued with a lavish dinner and party at Villa Angelina in Sorrento. The venue was adorned with elegant decorations, each element representing a vital part of nature: air, fire, earth, and water. This unique theme was seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the event, creating a truly magical ambiance.

Air: This element featured floating decorations and blooming flowers. The decor included light silk drapes and soft colors like pastels and whites. Entertainers dressed in flower costumes floated gracefully around the venue. The tables had light and airy centerpieces, creating an uplifting feeling.

Water: Blue flowers were the main highlights. Performers dressed in blue costumes put on a show. The decor added a calm and serene touch to the event.

Earth: The theme for earth included lots of greenery and natural elements. The decorations were lush with earthy colors everywhere. Entertainers dressed in costumes that blended with the greenery, celebrating the beauty of nature.

Fire: This element brought vibrant energy with red and orange colors. The tables and decorations were fiery and lively. Performers in striking red costumes entertained the guests, creating a warm and exciting atmosphere.

Together, these elements created a breathtaking environment that was both visually stunning and emotionally resonant. The combination of air, fire, earth, and water in the table settings, decorations, and entertainment made the wedding day an unforgettable experience, filled with wonder and awe. The bride and groom partied and enjoyed fun-filled moments with friends and family all night long.

Day 4: Farewell Boat Trip on the famous luxury boat Patrizia  – June 13th
The final day featured a relaxing boat trip around the Amalfi Coast. Guests soaked in the sun, and enjoyed the serene beauty of the coastline, with a memorable stop in Positano. It was the perfect way to end the festivities, leaving everyone with cherished memories.
