Selecting the color palette that matches your taste and opting for the mood style that represents you, can be the hardest planning step that every couple faces.

Do you want your wedding style to be romantic, vintage, classy, bohemian, colourful, modern or funky? Select the direction you want. You can always get crazy along the way and add a crazy touch on your mood.

Make sure to stay in the mood and style of the location, and work along the destination style selected and the wedding season. Your event flow should emerge naturally.

From the bride’s wedding dress linen, to her bouquet, wedding invitation, floral decoration, sweet table design, wedding cake style… All these details should be homogeneous, creative and in trend.

This is a descriptive comparative guide to help you select the style and mood you want for your big day. Get inspired by the below creations from destination weddings organised around the globe by Giritaly’s International team.

#1 The New Classic

Obsessed with blush, champagne, ivory and gold. Considering a grand classical wedding? Your overall theme will have to match accordingly. For a wedding this grandiose, you’ll want to go big on the venue, from a historic castle to a luxury villa or a lush palace. Work on the complete table settings with fancy setup and ornate flower arrangements. And don’t forget about the cake!

#2 Romantic

If you choose to have a romantic wedding, think about the venue first. Opt for an exclusive villa or a stunning waterfront location. Then go for soft hues, intricate lighting and loads of florals.

To enhance this theme, visualize a pastel palette, hang delicate lights and create floral masterpieces such as arches, photo booths and floral walls.

#3 Summer Inspired

Planning a wedding in Sicily, Amalfi or one of the many stunning Grecian Islands? Then go for bright colors like blues, greens, yellows and even oranges… And why not take it up a notch and include summer fruits and citrus.

#4 Rustic/Vintage Style

It all starts with the venues selection! Go for a charming borgo or an old farmhouse or an antique looking garden.

And for the tablescapes and decor, opt for wooden accents like old tables, wooden garden chairs, lots of greenery and soft florals. Keep in mind the overall vintage theme by minding the accessories with a vintage car, the rustic printables and even the bridal dress.

#5 Wild & Colourful

If you are a whimsical couple, your wedding will be full of vibrant splashes of color and quirky, bohemian components. Include multicolored design features like punchy floral arrangements, quirky chandeliers and mismatched chairs.

Push the boundaries as much as you want and create something other than the been-there-done-that wedding décor!

#6 Garden Party Chic

If you dream of having a laid back wedding and casual ceremony, go for an outdoor-garden-party-themed wedding. This style is ideal for a spring or summer date and a backyard wedding. Go for colorful wild florals, subtle greens, organic accessories and wood accents.

#7 Holiday/Christmas

Take your winter up a notch with holiday inspired motifs. From Christmas tree décor and ornament escort cards to warm winter cocktails, the creative Christmas wedding options are endless. Hope for a little snow the day of, request “All I Want for Christmas Is You” from your DJ, gift candy canes or Santa hats as favors, and you’re all set.
